Why did you choose this career program?

Effective communication is crucial in any field of work, so it is an area of development that will be beneficial regardless of the career path I take in the future. I don’t know where I will choose to go later in life, but I know that good communication will be necessary there and anywhere else along the journey.

What are you learning about your career field that you find interesting or rewarding?

Learning about communications has helped build my ability to engage with and gain perspective from a multitude of diverse individuals. It has provided the opportunity to learn from others without being clouded by my own bias.

Why did you choose Fox Valley Technical College?

FVTC offers an education that fits my lifestyle, hands-on experience to learn my field, and countless resources. The affordable tuition allows me to receive an education that won’t leave me in debt after I earn my degree.

How has Fox Valley Technical College helped you change your life?

FVTC has allowed me to work and earn my degree at the same time. The classes are flexible and the education I am receiving is exceptional. The diverse individuals I meet offer a new perspective on the world.

What type of job do you expect to find after graduation?

After graduation, I plan to pursue a career in online communications. I want to use both the creative and practical skills I am learning now in working behind the scenes to create impactful messages throughout my career.

In one sentence, what’s your best advice for someone who’s not sure they’re ready for college?

There are many advisors and alumni that are there to help you figure out if college is the right choice for you, so talk with them.
