For two days, FVTC’s Appleton campus became a giant interactive science festival for 1,400+ area sixth and seventh graders. In partnership with Michigan Tech Mind Trekkers, the college hosted STEM Possible Fest for students to explore nearly 60 hands-on STEM stations.

Students rotated through activities that blended science, technology, engineering and math. Each one was designed to teach and wow students. Among the learning lessons:
- Using bananas to play the piano
- Skewering a balloon without popping it
- Building and launching rockets
- Virtual Reality simulations
- 3D printers
- Invisible fire extinguisher
- Grape crushing
Mind Trekkers volunteers, FVTC faculty, staff and students, local employers like Oshkosh and Georgia-Pacific guided the activities, helping students use STEM concepts to touch and explore.

The event helped draw attention to the goals of Career and Technical Education Month in Wisconsin by demonstrating how hands-on experiences help students build confidence, problem-solve and explore careers in areas like engineering, manufacturing and other in-demand fields.
