Summer is a chance for kids to not only kick back and relax, it’s also a great opportunity to experience new adventures and explore careers.

Enter Fox Valley Technical College summer camps.

Through 16 different summer camps, FVTC hosted 204 students who explored hands-on learning activities across a variety of career fields.

Returning favorites included Wheels on Fire, CSI Adventures, Girl Tech, Take a Gamble on Machining, and more.

In addition, this year, three new camps were added: Farming Forward: Dairy Edition, Career Discovery Camp, and Summer Collision Experience sponsored by Bergstrom.

Campers loved the experiences. “Attending both Collision Camp and Diesel camp helped me get a better idea of what direction I am going in the automotive industry after high school,” said Austin Kriesa, pictured below on the right.

Camper Jordyn Woltemath attended Wheels on Fire, Career Discovery Camp and GirlTech. She says, “I liked getting to weld in Girl Tech and I liked getting to visit and learn about all the places in Career Camp. My favorite place was the vet clinic because I want to be a Vet Tech.”
