FVTC and Marian University Create Seamless Transfer Path

Fox Valley Technical College and Marian University have joined forces to create a path for students earning an Associate of Arts (AA) or an Associate of Science (AS) to seamlessly transfer to Marian University with junior standing to continue their education.

The colleges signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) today which allows students who complete the AA or AS degree at FVTC to transfer to Marian University with junior status where they may finish their bachelor’s degree in as little as two more years.

“As we gear up for fall, we’re excited to welcome approximately 210 students into our University Transfer Degree programs. This growing number reflects students’ confidence in starting their education at FVTC before transferring to pursue a bachelor’s degree,” said Dr. Chris Matheny, FVTC president. “We value our partnership with Marian University and know this agreement will open even more doors for student success.”

“We appreciate Fox Valley Technical College students at Marian because they come with the skills and the mindset to succeed,” said Aaron Sadoff, Marian University president. “Many pursue in the ‘helping professions’ that are in demand, like Nursing, Education, Criminal Justice and Social Work.  Together, our two institutions are not just filling a need, but we are creating a skilled and thoughtful workforce that will play a vital role in our communities.”

Both transfer degrees will meet Marian University’s general education requirements, with up to 61 credits eligible for guaranteed admission and transfer.

Fox Valley Technical College officially started offering the AA and AS degree programs with the start of the spring 2023 semester with the first cohort of students graduating this past May.
