Why did you choose this career program?

I have a background in International Affairs and experience working with marketing, and I wanted to expand my knowledge of how businesses operate. Studying Business Management allows me to connect my previous experience with leadership and strategy, helping me grow professionally.

What are you learning about your career field that you find interesting or rewarding?

What I find most rewarding is learning how to lead and manage people effectively. Being able to combine those management skills with marketing, which is something I truly love, makes the field even more exciting to explore.

Why did you choose Fox Valley Technical College?

I chose Fox Valley Technical College because I was familiar with it from my high school years, when I first learned about its strong programs and the positive impact it has on the Fox Valley community. I was also drawn to its close connections with local businesses and the opportunity to learn from instructors with real-world industry experience.

How has Fox Valley Technical College helped you change your life?

FVTC has given me incredible networking opportunities and allowed me to connect with people from diverse backgrounds. Through real-life business experiences in the Fox Valley area, I’ve been able to strengthen my soft skills, grow professionally, and challenge myself, especially when it comes to public speaking and stepping outside my comfort zone.

What type of job do you expect to find after graduation?

After graduation, I hope to work in a corporate environment in a role that allows me to grow. While I may not start in a management position, my goal is to build experience and develop into a leadership role over time.

What’s your best advice for someone who’s not sure they’re ready for college?

Challenge yourself, stay open to new people and opportunities, and remember that college helps you discover your skills, grow personally, and move closer to your future! The “no” you already have, so go after the “yes.”
