Veterans Week Events Planned

Thank you, Veterans

Fox Valley Technical College has a long history of providing education and training to veterans, service members and qualifying family members. It is a privilege to serve those who have served our country. Each year, we process about $1 million in education benefits for our veteran students who answered the call to serve our country before starting their academic journey.

In honor of Veterans Week, the FVTC Veterans Resource Center (Room E119, Appleton Campus) is hosting the following events. All events are free for veterans. 


Monday-Friday

  • Thank a Veteran: Find the poster in the Commons and write a “thank you” to veterans
  • Wisconsin Veterans Museum Traveling Display: Visit the library and learn some history about the military from the WI Veteran’s Museum
  • Veteran’s Week Walk: Follow the signs and walk a mile around campus
  • Penny wars between military branches

Monday, Nov. 11

Popcorn and Cake in the VRC– Come by for some popcorn and cake!

Room E119, Appleton Campus, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Wednesday, Nov. 13

Teriyaki Madness Luncheon with Thong for Veteran Students– Stop by for some lunch and listen to one of FVTC’s own veterans.
