Training Award-Winning Apprentices

The state’s top Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Wisconsin construction electrician apprentice received his training at Fox Valley Technical College.

Ryan Ebert, Appleton, earned a first-place award in the 2014 ABC of Wisconsin Skill Competitions in Green Bay.

Ebert, a 5th year trainee through FVTC’s ABC apprenticeship training program and an ABC construction electrician apprentice at Faith Technologies, Inc., took home first-place honors in the electrical competition at the event. The event also included three other competitions in HVAC, plumbing, and carpentry. The competitors were scored on skill, workmanship, safety, and efficiency.

The ABC of Wisconsin apprenticeship program combines on-the-job-training and classroom instruction. Depending on the trade, the program takes three to five years to complete.

Associated Builders & Contractors (ABC) of Wisconsin is a statewide construction association representing nearly 800 construction companies, material suppliers, manufacturers, and other construction-related firms.

Congratulations, Ryan!
