Why did you choose this career program?

It started as just a result from an interest profile assessment, but as I looked deeper into the field, I realized that it was an opportunity to teach, support and serve others. I have always had the desire to give back to my community and help others; occupational therapy makes that a reality.

What are you learning about your career field that you find interesting or rewarding?

The vastness of people occupational therapy can serve amazes me! It ranges from children to the elderly, special needs to rehabilitation and in-home care to hospital. I love that we have the opportunity and flexibility to support so many people.

Why did you choose Fox Valley Technical College?

FVTC is local with a great area to meet the needs of my family. The advisors and faculty are kind and willing to help students.

How has Fox Valley Technical College helped you change your life?

FVTC has great opportunities to network and engage with the community. I am happy to be able to further my education and make friends along the way!

What type of job do you expect to find after graduation?

I am hoping to find work with our children in the school system or to be able to help our elders.

What’s your best advice for someone who’s not sure they’re ready for college?

If you’re not ready, that’s okay. It’s never too late to learn something new!
