Why did you choose the Administrative Professional program?
I chose the Administrative Professional program because my role as a Peer Advisor and Administrative Assistant Aide here at FVTC has lead me to see the value in helping others through education. This program will allow me to continue to help others and build the skills needed for my future career.
What are you learning about your career field that you find interesting or rewarding?
What I have gained from my program so far is being able to expand my technical skills, as well as open up my communication skills.
Why did you choose Fox Valley Technical College?
I chose FVTC because they offer flexibility for anyone pursuing their goals, no matter their educational background. Because I’m a non-traditional student, I also needed a place that understood I have obligations outside my academic goals.
How did Fox Valley Technical College help you change your life?
FVTC has helped me through the entire process, from enrollment to helping me figure out my career path. When my family life changed, I came to FVTC to further my education for my children and to achieve growth within myself. FVTC has given me tools and resources that helped break down barriers that were keeping me from my reaching my educational goals. FVTC is definitely a community inside of a community, and I am so blessed to be a part of it!
What type of job do you expect to find after graduation?
I hope to have a career that is focused on helping others, enriching their lives, and making a difference in our community for the better.
