Artist Bio:

Mark Ferrell

Going around a few blocks in life and capturing humanity too authentic for the headlines, Mark Ferrell is home to the lens—portraying passion.

With more than 40 years of artistic experience that spans from street photographer to media lab pro to lighting technician at concerts across the nation, Mark’s eye for impression is exceptional. His work has rubbed elbows with Herbie Hancock, Miles Davis, and Duane Allman, while landing in Rolling Stone and Life magazines.

Just shy of participating as a U.S. Olympian track athlete in 1972 due to a major knee injury, Mark turned his attention to a life of photography and multi-media. He worked for one of the early pioneers in photo lab color separations in the 1970s in New York. His organization’s clients included the likes of Marlboro and major automakers.

In the 1980s, Mark was instrumental in capturing the essence of several San Francisco cultural events through his work for the San Francisco Art Institute. Those experiences catapulted an entrepreneurial spirit in Mark. He went on to produce several image galleries for non-profit organizations, corporations, and elected officials, in addition to those who are inspired by nature.

Mark recently amplified his knowledge from a life of coast-to-coast endeavors by earning two Associate degrees in Information Technology from Fox Valley Technical College (FVTC). While studying at FVTC, Mark lent his expertise to help advance key objectives for a number of student clubs and youth camps.

In 2015, Mark launched his own business, Eye Photograph, LLC. His exemplary talents have found a home in the Fox Valley to serve the visual storytelling needs of individuals and organizations.
