There is always something going on at the Fox Valley Technical College Public Safety Training Center (PSTC). Whether it’s program students mastering hands-on skills, a middle school group taking a tour, or an agency conducting training for current public safety professionals, the facility is a busy place.
In 2025, the PSTC celebrated its 10th anniversary. The 2025 PSTC Annual Report focuses on this milestone year, highlighting continued growth, strong partnerships and a sustained focus on workforce readiness across all public safety disciplines.
Highlights:
- 10 years of the PSTC: 2025 marked the 10th anniversary of the Public Safety Training Center, reinforcing a decade of leadership in public safety education and training.
- Enrollment and program demand remain strong across law enforcement, fire protection, EMS and forensic science.
- Expansion of the law enforcement academy from three to four annual cohorts.
- Ramped up recruitment and outreach efforts for Criminal Justice program through a two-year Wisconsin Tech College Core Industry grant valued at $350,000.
- Ongoing collaborations with partners like Pierce Manufacturing, Challenge USA, Fox Valley Humane Association and more.
- Recent partnership with Armament Systems and Procedures (ASP) to secure the latest in police equipment and specialized training for law enforcement and jail recruits, as well as agency partners.
- ARFF Training: 35 groups from 11 states and 4 countries trained at the Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) Center.
- Study abroad: In 2025, 14 Criminal Justice and Forensic Science students participated in a 10-day study abroad program in Ireland, engaging in comparative study of the Irish and U.S. justice systems. This June, the group will head to London.
