Fab Lab Club Helps Display Donors

Students from Fox Valley Technical College’s Fab Lab Club designed and built a donor wall for COTS, a transitional shelter in Appleton that helps individuals experiencing homelessness regain their independence. The colored house design of the donor wall aligns with COTS’ mission of ending homelessness in the Fox Valley.

The Fab Lab Club at FVTC works with cutting-edge laser equipment and 3D printing and fabrication technologies to develop prototypes. Students work together annually to help improve sectors in the community representing the fine arts, human services, and historical preservation. This project featured the involvement of students from various manufacturing programs and the Auto Collision Repair & Refinishing program. Finishing touches are still being applied to the project, which is expected to be completed and on display in the COTS lobby in August.
