Diesel Equipment Mechanic student Cole Ott of Rosendale won the grand prize of the Snap-on Student Excellence Program (SEP), sponsored by Snap-on Inc. and Team Penske.
The winning prize consists of an all-expense paid trip for two to the Team Penske-entered race in Fort Worth, Texas, on November 4, and includes a two-night stay and pre-race access to the track and pit areas. Ott beat out tens of thousands of entries around the nation to receive the top prize. Other students won hand tool sets and Snap-on racing caps as part of the program’s overall prize package.
The SEP offers technical education students a chance to purchase Snap-on tools at a discount for training purposes with an SEP-affiliated institution.
