Career EXCELerate Celebrates Latest Cohort, Continued Growth

Career EXCELerate Wisconsin™ recently celebrated its latest group of participants, recognizing individuals who earned certificates through the collaborative program offered by Goodwill North Central Wisconsin (NCW) and Fox Valley Technical College.

At the Spring 2026 completion ceremony, 37 participants received certificates in high-demand fields including Truck Driving (Class A CDL), Certified Nursing Assistant and Welding Fundamentals. With this newest cohort, more than 960 individuals have now completed the program since its launch in 2022.

Designed to create pathways to stable, family-sustaining careers, the program continues to deliver meaningful results. Participants who have moved into employment report an average wage increase of about $11.55 per hour compared to when they began the program.

Career EXCELerate Wisconsin was launched in summer 2022 with support from a Workforce Innovation Grant from the State of Wisconsin, which runs through June 2026. While that initial funding is ending, the program’s impact will continue. Goodwill NCW has committed to sustaining the program in partnership with Fox Valley Technical College, Chippewa Valley Technical College and other education partners.

Looking ahead, the program will expand access across all counties Goodwill serves, offering in-person, online and hybrid learning options—at no cost to participants.
