2022 Student Ambassador Named

Kimberly Martin will serve as advocate for technical education in Wisconsin

Kimberly Martin has been named a 2022 Wisconsin Technical College System Co-Ambassador for Fox Valley Technical College.

The Oshkosh native, who is a double-major in Wildland Firefighter and Natural Resources, will serve as a leader and advocate for FVTC by raising awareness about the importance of technical education in Wisconsin.

The atmosphere and friendliness of faculty and staff is what initially drew her to attend Fox Valley Technical College during a campus visit. As a student, Kimberly has been very active in campus activities. She has not only served multiple leadership roles in clubs, she has also worked as a Peer Leader and a Student Life intern. “FVTC makes sure you’re not only getting an education in the classroom, but that there are opportunities to learn outside the classroom as well,” she says.

As an ambassador, Kimberly says she will help spread the word about what a great choice FVTC is for an education. “There are many programs and supports available to help students succeed from all walks of life and faculty and staff are very understanding of circumstances sometimes getting in the way of education. The people here truly care about the students.”
