Why did you choose this career program?

I chose this field because I have always loved working in materials and logistics. I enjoy the challenges that come with keeping supply chains moving efficiently and finding solutions whenever an obstacle arises.

What are you learning about your career field that you find interesting or rewarding?

To me, it’s really interesting to learn how different parts of the world handle supply chains in both similar and unique ways and then apply those ideas in my current role. It’s very rewarding to see how different concepts can be adapted to improve our efficiency and problem-solving locally.

Why did you choose Fox Valley Technical College?

I chose FVTC for the flexibility it offers, allowing me to complete 100% of my program online while continuing to work full-time. The convenience of learning at my own pace has made it possible to keep advancing my education while still having time for my family.

How has Fox Valley Technical College helped you change your life?

Fox Valley Technical College has helped me expand both my knowledge and ability and given me valuable tools that I can use to continue to grow in my career. It has shown me how continued learning can lead to new opportunities.

What type of job do you expect to find after graduation?

I plan to continue growing in my current role as an Inventory Specialist at Miller Electric, with the goal of advancing into a Materials Manager position, and someday, maybe a Logistics and Warehousing Manager.

What’s your best advice for someone who’s not sure they’re ready for college?

You don’t have to have it all figured out, no one really does when they start, but you learn and grow along the way.
