Why did you choose this career program?

The job I have now is not a career, and of course, I had my mom and other people I look up to telling me I can’t do this forever. I thought the same thing but didn’t know what else I would get into. A few people in my life have muscular issues, so I would help them out, and they said, “You should try massage therapy.”

What are you learning about your career field that you find interesting or rewarding?

What I have learned about myself and this career is that I never thought it would be my calling. What my clients and instructors say about me or how I conduct my treatments ensures that I made the right decision in my career path. That alone is rewarding.

Why did you choose Fox Valley Technical College?

I chose FVTC for their Therapeutic Massage program.

How has Fox Valley Technical College helped you change your life?

FVTC has helped me change my life in a positive manner. I feel more educated and I see the world differently. Gave me a purpose.

What type of job do you expect to find after graduation?

I would like to find a massage therapist position.

What’s your best advice for someone who’s not sure they’re ready for college?

If you know you want to make a change in your life, maybe you’re not happy with the job you already have; just look at it as trying something new.
