Why did you choose the Professional Communications program?

I chose the Professional Communications program because I felt that it would give me more freedom to choose and decide what career to go into.

What are you learning about your career field that you find interesting or rewarding?

I have learned about all the skills needed to really understand the program, whether it be learning how to effectively communicate to writing technical specs. It has been a very interesting degree to pursue, and I have learned quite a lot.

Why did you choose Fox Valley Technical College?

I chose FVTC because I have heard great things about the school. I was genuinely interested in going back to school to earn a degree, so when I found out about this college, I knew it was going to be the perfect fit. The classes were very accommodating to my schedule, which was important.

How did Fox Valley Technical College help you change your life?

FVTC has really helped me towards my goal of getting my associate degree in Communications. Everyone that I have met through the school was honest and real. The faculty and staff truly want to see students succeed. The school has really made me see what I am passionate about. I was lucky enough to intern in Student Life as a marketing intern, and it was an unforgettable experience with wonderful people that helped me realize what I really wanted to do.

What type of job do you expect to find after graduation?

After graduation, I plan on continuing my education towards my bachelor’s degree in Communications. After that I hope to get a job that will help me show my creative side and my skills in working with others to create marketing communications plans.
