Student-Led Electronics Recycling Drive Largest Ever

Kudos to the FVTC Automation and Electronics Club for hosting their most successful Electronics Recycling Drive to date this past April.

With cars lined up before the event even began, by the end of the day, the club filled 80 commercial bins with items, totaling six truck loads and over 38,000 pounds of material.

They collected items like computer-related products such as mice, keyboards and tablets; household items including TVs, DVDs, phones and CDs; and small kitchen appliances.

The student club hosts the event each year to do their part to keep electronic items out of the landfills. They work with the FVTC Foundation, Inc. and local company ITAD Logic, who ensures the items are sorted and disposed of properly.
