OTA Student Earns Coca-Cola Scholarship

An Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) student is one of 207 Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Honor Society members nationwide to be named a 2018 Coca-Cola Leaders of Promise scholar.

Dorea Lauer, Hortonville, earned a $1,000 scholarship from the company to participate in PTK experiences that foster scholastic achievement, community service, and leadership skills. More than 1,200 applications were received for the Leaders of Promise scholarship.

Phi Theta Kappa is the premiere honor society recognizing the academic achievement of students at associate degree-granting colleges by helping them to grow as scholars and leaders. The Society is made up of more than 3.5 million members and nearly 1,300 chapters in 10 nations.
