APPLETON, WI — Students pursuing business-related degrees at Fox Valley Technical College now have four new opportunities to continue their education at University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh through newly signed articulation agreements.
Designed to streamline the transfer process and maximize earned credits, the agreements establish transfer pathways for graduates of FVTC’s Associate of Applied Science degree programs in Accounting, Finance, Business Management and Marketing.
“Strong articulation agreements remove barriers for students,” said Scott Borley, Dean of Business and IT. “By aligning our programs with UW-Oshkosh, we’re helping students begin their education at FVTC, transfer efficiently, save time and stay focused on achieving their long-term career goals.”
Under the agreements, students can transfer 60 or more credits into corresponding Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) programs at UW-Oshkosh’s College of Business, Arts and Communication.
Specifically:
- FVTC Accounting graduates can transfer into UW-Oshkosh’s BBA Accounting major.
- FVTC Finance graduates can transfer into the BBA Finance major.
- FVTC Business Management graduates can transfer into the BBA Management major with an Entrepreneurship emphasis.
- FVTC Marketing graduates can transfer into the BBA Marketing major.
“These agreements provide students with seamless opportunities to benefit themselves, their families and our communities,” said FVTC President Dr. Chris Matheny. “Agreements like these are the pinnacle of collaboration and show how continued investments in higher education are essential to our region’s success.”

Our students are fortunate to have excellent higher education institutions available to serve them in this region. Our partnership with FVTC is a model for how we cooperate to expand opportunities for students across our region.”
“These agreements take the guesswork out of transferring,” said Dr. Joshua Garrison, interim provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs at UW–Oshkosh. “Fox Valley graduates can move into a UW–Oshkosh business degree with a clear plan and full credit for the work they’ve done. And the region gains the skilled, local graduates it depends on.”
The new agreements build on a longstanding partnership between FVTC and UW-Oshkosh. The institutions already offer many general transfer pathways as well as program specific pathways for students in aviation management, education, engineering technology, fire and emergency response management, and nursing.
Together the colleges continue to expand opportunities that help students move efficiently from an associate degree to a bachelor’s degree while meeting the workforce needs throughout the region.
