Tech College Board highlights JJ Keller, Fox Valley Technical College partnership
The Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS) Board awarded its “Futuremakers Partner” award to J. J. Keller & Associates of Neenah on Tuesday evening. The award recognizes the unique and dynamic partnerships between Wisconsin’s technical colleges and their employer partners.
J. J. Keller employs 1,300 associates who provide solutions for managing safety and regulatory compliance for companies in a variety of industries. Its 420,000 customers include 91% of the Fortune 1,000. J. J. Keller has a long-standing partnership with Fox Valley Technical College (FVTC), which Chairman Bob Keller said has been in place for more than 60 years.
“When Fox Valley calls, we listen,” Keller told those gathered for the presentation. The result, Keller said, “is a great partnership that works for both of us.”
“The Kellers are working each day not only to improve the education of our students, but to increase access to education,” said WTCS Board President Drew Petersen. “You are making an incredible difference in our students’ lives and in communities throughout the Fox Valley.”
Keller associates share their expertise to enhance college programming, and the firm routinely donates publications and other training materials. In addition, through its J. J. Keller Foundation and other means, the Keller family has provided principal financial support for a number of FVTC facilities, including the Keller Transportation Center, and has provided more than $250,000 for student grants and scholarships.
“The partnership we’ve enjoyed with J. J. Keller and Associates and the J. J. Keller Foundation has certainly stood the test of time. The Keller family is not only a tremendous advocate for technical education, but has supported numerous FVTC projects, facilities, and initiatives over the years,” said FVTC President Susan May. “Their incredible impact continues to be very apparent, both at the college and in our community.”
