When Chef Kate Konen moves to the podium to deliver her commencement address at FVTC’s 2025 Winter Commencement, she’ll likely feel a sense of déjà vu.

Ten years ago, Kate stood at the same microphone. Back then, she was speaking as a student commencement speaker, addressing her fellow graduates.

Kate has had a fulfilling career since earning associate degrees in Culinary Arts and in Hospitality Management and she is ready to share her journey with the Class of 2025. After graduating in 2015, Kate started her career with Street Level Food Marketing in Milwaukee as a Food Marketing Broker Associate. She then moved to Jones Dairy Farm where she is a Culinary Solutions Chef.

Kate’s passion for food and travel has flourished over the past eight years with Jones. This past September, her role took her across the globe to South Korea, the Philippines, and Japan to grow Jones’ international business.

Kate’s role is not limited to the kitchen. She has appeared on television stations across the country promoting Jones products, including recent appearances on QVC.
