Embracing AI in Higher Education

Higher education is increasingly embracing artificial intelligence (AI), focusing on its potential benefits rather than concerns about student misuse. To highlight AI’s role in improving education, Insight on Business magazine recently wrote an article about the topic and asked Jay Stulo, director of AI strategy at FVTC, for his expertise.

Jay explains that integrating AI into classrooms can better prepare students for their careers post-graduation. By using AI, students can enhance the quality of their assignments, particularly by improving the accuracy of grammar and other technical aspects.

“Our graduates will see AI in the workplace, and it’s important they understand how to use it,” Jay says. “We want to be an AI-emergent organization. AI can do a lot more than write text.”

Colleges and universities are embracing AI to transform both classroom learning and administrative functions, ensuring students and staff are prepared to use AI tools effectively in the workplace.
