A Smarter Route to a Business Degree: FVTC & UWGB Launch 2+2 Pathways

(Appleton, WI) – Students pursuing business careers now have a faster, more affordable path to a bachelor’s degree thanks to new 2+2 transfer agreements between Fox Valley Technical College (FVTC) and the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.

The agreements create seamless pathways that allow FVTC graduates to transfer directly into four UW-Green Bay bachelor’s degree programs: Management, Marketing, Business Administration (Supply Chain emphasis) or Human Resources Management. Students who complete one of the eligible FVTC associate degrees can transfer 60 credits and enter UW-Green Bay with junior status while ensuring no duplicate coursework.

The pathway applies to these FVTC programs:

  • Business Management AAS
  • Marketing AAS
  • Supply Chain Management AAS
  • Human Resources AAS

“These collaborative agreements will save FVTC business graduates time and money, making the dream of earning a bachelor’s degree more achievable and affordable,” said Scott Borley, FVTC Dean of Business & IT. “Our grads from these programs will enter UW-Green Bay and can earn a bachelor’s degree without the need to repeat courses they’ve already completed at FVTC.”

The new 2+2 pathways are already shaping FVTC Business Management student Jaycee Glen’s academic plans. He will be among the first to take advantage of the agreement after graduating from FVTC in May.

“The agreement between FVTC and UWGB allows me to further my education by creating an academic plan that ensures no class goes to ‘waste.’  It has created a path for students to ease into a four-year university, allowing students to save financially by attending a technical college for the first two years. I am so excited to be able to work with both colleges.”

An additional benefit to the agreement is once at UW-Green Bay, students can choose to complete their remaining coursework entirely online.
