Why did you choose to study this field?

I chose to study Paralegal/Legal Studies because it serves as an essential stepping stone towards my goal of becoming an attorney. This field provides a strong foundation in legal principles and practical skills, preparing me for the challenges of law school and a career in the legal profession. Additionally, it allows me to gain valuable hands-on experience and insight into the workings of the legal system.

Tell us how you came to choose FVTC for your education.

I chose Fox Valley Technical College not only because of its outstanding reputation for hands-on learning and student success but also because my uncle and aunt live nearby. Being close to family was important to me, and FVTC’s affordability made it the perfect choice for my education.

What’s been the most rewarding part of your educational journey at FVTC?

The most rewarding part of my educational journey at FVTC has been the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and practical skills that directly apply to my career goals. During my time at FVTC, I had the privilege of being actively involved in various student organizations and leadership roles. What I most enjoyed about my time as a student at Fox Valley Tech was the sense of community and support. Fox Valley Tech has not only equipped me with knowledge but has also fostered a sense of belonging and confidence that I will carry with me beyond graduation. Additionally, the support and guidance from the dedicated faculty and staff have been invaluable, helping me grow both personally and professionally.

What was the most difficult part?

The most challenging part of my time at FVTC was being away from home as an international student. Adjusting to a new culture and environment while managing academic responsibilities required a lot of resilience and adaptability. However, the supportive community at FVTC made the transition smoother, and I learned valuable life skills that have prepared me for future challenges.

What will you do on graduation day or in the future to celebrate graduation?

On graduation day, I plan to celebrate with my brother, my boyfriend, my uncle and aunt, and my workplace team, whom I consider my extended family. We’ll come together to mark this significant milestone and reflect on the journey that brought us here. I look forward to sharing this special moment with the people who have supported and encouraged me along the way.

Tell us about your plans after graduation.

Currently, I am working at Tusler Law, SC in Appleton as a Paralegal/Legal Assistant, and I plan to continue in this role for another year. I intend to pursue my bachelor’s degree and then continue to law school. My goal is to build a solid educational and professional foundation that will prepare me for a successful career as an attorney.

One last parting thought or words of wisdom to share with others.

My parents always said, “Your future is as bright as you make it.” Embrace your inner boss, lead with confidence, and tackle every challenge head-on. Believe in your greatness and the power of hard work—never underestimate your potential.
