Veterinary Technician Program Expands with New Partnership

Move to Apple Valley Veterinary Clinic supports program’s continued growth

Fox Valley Technical College’s Veterinary Technician program is entering an exciting new chapter. Beginning with the 2025–26 school year, the program will move its animal handling, care and surgical courses to Apple Valley Veterinary Clinic (AVVC) in Appleton.

This new partnership gives students more space and hands-on learning opportunities as the program continues to grow. With six student cohorts, around 120 students and five faculty members, the Vet Tech program has outgrown its current facilities and is ready for the next step.

While some lecture-based classes will stay at the Service Motor Company Agriculture Center during the transition, students will begin learning at AVVC this fall in two temporary classrooms. New lab classrooms are planned for completion in spring and fall 2026.

Fox Valley Technical College is also taking a moment to thank the Fox Valley Humane Association (FVHA), which has been a wonderful partner since the program launched in August 2019. For the past six years, FVHA has provided space, support and countless opportunities for students to gain valuable real-world experience.

As the program transitions to Apple Valley Veterinary Clinic, FVTC looks forward to continuing its strong relationship with FVHA and expanding opportunities for students to learn, grow and care for animals in the community.
